JONGLUCKDEE and Netflix take out top honours at Thailand’s 2025 Adman Awards: Wolf Bkk, VML, SOUR, BBDO and YDM perform strongly
The Advertising Association of Thailand (AAT) hosted their annual Adman Awards & Symposium 2025 in Bangkok last week. The two day festival brought together the Thai agency, client, production, media industry and others under the theme of “The Future of Advertising is Humanity.”
The event concluded with a packed awards night that saw the year’s top award-winning works recognised and awarded on stage.
Rati Panthawi, President of the Advertising Association of Thailand, spoke about the success of this grand and inspiring annual festival: “While technology can create content in an instant, the human heart is the only thing technology cannot replicate. This is the spirit of this year that the Advertising Association of Thailand intended to convey at the Adman Awards & Symposium 2025, a platform that brings together marketers, advertisers, creatives, students, and everyone who believes in the power of communication, to reflect on how the industry can grow when technology and the human heart must advance together.”
This year, the Adman Symposium designed an intensive stage concept under three main zones: “Love-Greed,” “Envy-Passion,” and “Courage-Faith,” It included over 33 seminar topics and 10 workshops that ignited creative thinking in every dimension of the industry, featuring brand builders, marketers, storytellers, and technology experts sharing diverse perspectives.
The Adman Awards 2025 attracted over 1,285 entries across 20 categories. There were 12 Best of Best awards handed out along with 51 Gold, 83 Silver and 151 Bronze trophies.
The star of the night was JONGLUCKDEE who scored 5 Best of Best awards, along with 9 Gold, 7 Silver and 4 Bronze on their way to being announced 2025 Agency of the Year. JONGLUCKDEE also took home the Best of Show award for their Netflix “Young-Hee Freezes Bangkok” campaign.
The campaign brought the show’s most iconic character, Young-Hee, into the city of Bangkok, at a scale no one could ignore. JONGLUCKDEE created a 12-meter-tall robotic Young-Hee, the largest figure of its kind globally, and set her afloat on Bangkok’s Chao Phraya River. The robotic Young-Hee moved, turned her head and her eyes scanned the crowd.
The campaign reached over 29 million people online (more than 40% of Thailand’s population) and an estimated 26 million people in real life along the Chao Phraya River and through news coverage, making it one of the most visible and talked-about brand activations in Thai history.
JONGLUCKDEE received good competition for Agency of the Year from Wolf BKK who picked up 1 Best of Best, 9 Gold, 10 Silver and 16 Bronze awards.
VML Thailand also performed well with 2 Best of Best, 3 Gold, 12 Silver and 20 Bronze awards.
Independent creative agency SOUR Bangkok also enjoyed a great night with 3 Gold, 13 Silver and 16 Bronze awards.
BBDO Bangkok also were a frequent visitor to the stage taking home 1 Best of Best, 5 Gold, 5 Silver and 12 Bronzes.
Rounding out the top 6 best performing agencies on the night was YDM Thailand with 1 Best of Best, 5 Gold, 5 Silver and 12 Bronze awards.
